TRANSPORT INSURANCE
Despite Sevenstar's and the ocean carrier's wide experience and expertise in ensuring safe transportation of yachts worldwide, there is always a risk that your yacht will be damaged, however small. Sevenstar Yacht Transport therefore strongly advises that all yachts transported are covered by an All Risks Transport Insurance.
Please note that the transportation of your yacht is usually not covered by your standard yacht insurance. We regularly see situations where clients have difficulties in arranging an All Risks Transport Insurance on time, and some forget altogether. For this reason we include an All Risks Transport Insurance in most of our quotations.
Due to the volume of yachts carried and the excellent safety record of the ocean carriers and Sevenstar, we have been able to secure transport insurance at very competitive premiums via the dedicated yacht division of Pantaenius GmbH & Co. KG in Hamburg
These insurance intermediaries understand best the requirements of yacht owners and the insurance policy is placed with reliable insurers such as the Allianz Group.
HOW DOES IT WORK
Once you have booked space on a carrier, you will receive an insurance Questionnaire. Complete this questionnaire and send it to Pantaenius who will place the insurance and send your insurance certificate.
This All Risks Transport Insurance provides a wide cover, including:
- Marine Risks: Physical loss of or damage to your yacht
- Physical loss of or damage to your yacht during any pre-shipment and/or post-shipment services (if agreed in the Booking Note)
- Contributions to general average
- Salvage, wreck and debris removal (contribution only)
- War, strike, riots and civil commotions risks
Legal liability insurance is not included, i.e. coverage of liability to third parties, not being the Ocean Carrier or Sevenstar, which you may incur during the carriage of your yacht. Such an insurance can be arranged through Pantaenius without significant extra cost.
DEDUCTIBLES
A deductible applies per voyage, the sum of this which will depend on the value of the yacht. The applicable deductibles can be found in the Pantaenius Questionnaire or you can contact Pantaenius directly.
INTERMEDIARY
